Reinstalling
Reinstalling your software is easy.  Simply put your CD in the computer.  The main menu will appear.  Select install software.  Reinstalling the software will overwrite the existing files.  Your computer should retain your registration data so that you do not have to register again.  If you are reinstalling due to a registration complication, you should completely uninstall the Reading Planner ^® before installing the new.  Instructions for complete removal follow.

Complete Uninstall
Completely removing the software is also simple.

1:  Click on "Start" and open your "Control Panel"
2:  Open "Add or Remove Programs." 
3:  Uninstall "Balancing the Sword Reading Planner."   

The program has been removed.  Steps 4 through 10 will tell you how to remove the registration data.  Removing the registration information is unnecessary if you are simply uninstalling the program.

4:  Click on "Start." 
5:  Click on "Run." 
6:  Type:  regedit
7:  Click on "HKEY_CURRENT_USER." (If you do not see this folder, go no further.)
8:  Click on "Software." 
9:  Click on "VB and VBA Program Settings."
10:  Delete "Balancing The Sword - Reading Planner"

You can now install the BTS Reading Planner ^® from scratch by simply putting in the CD.  The main menu will appear giving you the option to install the software.

  New SOFTWARE and Website Developments.    The BTS website is undergoing a transformation.  We are excited about new developments that we are engineering for all current and future BTS owners to enjoy.  Among these developments, we are creating an on-line version of the BTS Reading Planner ® software which will be better than the current CD-based version.  The Web-based version of the Reading Planner should eliminate all compatibility issues that may be experienced by Mac or Linux users or on unsupported versions of Windows.  All current owners of the software will receive free access to the new on-line software.  We will send out a broadcast email to you and all others who've made contact with us or have registered your software.  Please register on-line by clicking on this link.  The projected completion date is uncertain.  Because so many new features are being developed simultaneously for seamless integration, the process is difficult to estimate.  Be assured this free development is receiving hundreds of hours and much economic investment.   We want to deploy these enhancements as soon as possible.
