Submit New Conference Speaker Information

This is a free directory listing.  We retain the right to delist current profile or exclude any submission without cause.  Most homeschoolers are Christians who use their homeschooling environment to disciple their children.  My goal is to help the homeschooling movement to grow by connecting speakers and workshop leaders to convention coordinators and conference planners.

General Instructions:  Complete all fields as you are able.  We will review your information and update our database as is appropriate.  Look at mine or other profiles which are complete to get a better understanding.  I hope this helps you!

YOUR Email Address:   This is the only required field.  Please enter your email address so that we can contact you with any questions about these suggested changes.  We will publish the email addresses that you post below in Email 1 and Email 2.

Short Biography:
Tell a little about yourself. This should not be focused on your products or services.

Keynote Speaker:  Under Keynote Notes, please post the name and year for each convention when you were the keynote speaker (e.g., CHEK 2006, HERI, 2007, HOME 2007, FPEA 2008).  Some may simply need to list something such as, " John Doe has been the keynote at more than 100 conferences over the past 15 years."

Topics & Titles:  What topics do you like to address, or what are titles to some of your popular messages?  This allows conference coordinators to consider you for the appropriate topics.  Some of you will specialize in worldviews while others will specialize in curriculum selection or mathematics.

Topics & Titles

Achievements:  Please give me historical achievements or static information.  Please do not submit information which is subject to change next year.  This would generally exclude naming the church you pastor, but would not exclude the fact that you've been a pastor since 1973.  List your information in bullet format (Author of, Owner of, Founder of, Editor of, etc.).  The key here is to provide information that would give proof that you do possess some expertise on your topic(s).  This may include that you are married to a well-known person or that you trained eight children into adulthood as a homeschooling mom.

Achievements

First Address (Mailing Address):  Snail mail is less popular these days, but it is helpful to a conference coordinator to know how close you are to their event.  Furthermore, audiences simply like to know more about you.  You can list up to two full addresses. This first full address is intended for your mailing address. The second full address below is for you physical address if different. Each full address begins with two lines titled "Address" so that you can enter a company name, apartment number, suite number, building number, or c/o which is separate from your street address.

Second Address (Physical Address):  If your physical address is different than your mailing address listed above, please enter your physical address here.

Phone Numbers:  You may submit up to two phone numbers. Please label as voice or fax. Include your area code and country code if outside the USA.

URL's:  You may submit up to four Web addresses (i.e., URL's).  Your websites will help convention coordinators learn more about you.  Also, you will improve your search engine placement rating as a result of my links to your site.  So include your main website, your blog, etc.  Jesus said, "whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them" (Mt. 7:12).  If you want to return the kindness, please see Link Exchange.

Email Addresses:  You may submit up to two email addresses.  As a public page, robots crawling the Internet will find your email address and may begin to send you spam.  (With filtering software that is 98% accurate, I publish Grow@BalancingTheSword.com liberally.)  Please give me email addresses that you plan to retain for a long time.  Providing two addresses increases the likelihood that I or others can communicate with you by one address if the other becomes deactivated or overloaded.

Testimonial:  Do you own a set of Balancing the Sword books?  If you do, I'd love for you to write a brief testimonial.  If you do not own Balancing the Sword yet, I hope that you'd check it out under About the Books on the top left.

References:  These references are currently not published to the public, but that will likely change.  Give me the webpage(s) where you are listed as a speaker.  Or, list noteworthy individuals who would act as a character reference or attest to your speaking ability to convention planners.

References

Video:  You may submit one video link. These are currently not published to the public, but that will likely change.  Give me the full hyperlink to embed your video.

Video Link

Pictures:  You may submit up to three pictures of yourself.  Your picture file should be named after yourself, such as "John Doe Homeschooling Speaker 1.jpg" and "John Doe Homeschooling Speaker 2.jpg" and "John Doe Homeschooling Speaker 3.jpg".  Use the name that is most popular for yourself.  This means that you may leave out a middle initial, but include a nickname. Images should be between 100 to 130 pixels wide by 125 to 160 pixels high (max of 130 x 160).  Send your images to Grow@BalancingTheSword.com with "Speaker Images for John Doe" in the subject line.  It's important that we are able to match your images to your profile.

Enter any comments you have about this update.  These notes will not be published.

Well, this was not too painful, I hope.  Alone, we can do little.  Together, by the blessing of Christ, may we help homeschoolers everywhere.  Updates are usually made within 72 hours.  Afterwards, you will receive an email.

Your fellow laborer in Christ,

Allen
