The Tampa Bay Homeschool Graduation was founded by a home educating mom during the 2008-2009 school year as a result of the statewide FPEA Graduation ceremony in Orlando being changed to Sunday morning. The first local graduation ceremony took place in May 2009 and was a resounding success. By August 2009 it was obvious that there was significant interest among the Tampa Bay Area home educating community in having a local ceremony and the volunteer Graduation Committee was formed. The mission of Tampa Bay Homeschool Graduation is to promote fellowship, fun, and friendship within the local community of home educated Seniors through a series of planned social gatherings and to provide a beautiful, professional, and meaningful graduation ceremony as a celebration of their (and their families') accomplishments.
