Genesis is not an old Jewish fable, but a historical document with profound implications for history and science. Dr. Carter will describe how Genesis can be used as a foundation for learning and will give clear examples of how to bring Genesis into the homeschool classroom.

Hitting Evolution Where it Hurts
The book of Genesis is a history book, not a science book. However, the book makes some grand claims about the past that should become evident as we explore the world through science. As a sound source for the history of man, we should be able to detect the major events of Genesis through modern genetics. There are three main events that, if they occurred at all, must have left an indelible mark on our genetic makeup: Creation, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Each one of these can be clearly seen - if one knows where to look.

Building a Scientific Foundation
Building a Sound Scientific Foundation for the Next Generation - How do we reach a world that is completely steeped in evolutionary doctrine? First, by building for ourselves a sound foundation upon which we can reason and secondly, by training the next generation to use and build upon this foundation. Evolutionary doctrine has had the upper hand for decades in the Western world. The strength of their arguments are wearing thin against the onslaught of evidence coming from modern Creationism. The foundation that was laid by a few scientists and theologians during the latter half of the 20th century has grown to the extent that it has become a serious challenge to the evolutionary establishment. Where will it go from here? That depends on a combination of the grace of God and how hard we are willing to work.
