No man’s life or property is secure while the Legislature is in session.” As private homeschooling parents we need to understand what our elected officials are doing that can affect our ability to raise our children, and be able to explain to our friends and family about how we teach our children privately at home as private schools. This workshop provides information that is important for all homeschooling parents - whether new to homeschooling, experienced homeschoolers or in any positions of leadership in private homeschool groups or organizations. Many Christian parents are seeking to train and educate their children by enrolling them in a charter school home-study program. Increasing numbers of Christians, including church leaders, are encouraging private homeschooling families to join charter schools. What does Scripture teach us about training up our children under the influence of God’s Word? Can this be accomplished in a charter school? What are some of the important issues Christian parents must consider before making any decision to enroll their children in a charter school.
