Preparing for High School
How do I know what I should include in my child’s high school curriculum? How should I organize it? My children are so different, is it okay to do different classes for each child? Our family does unit studies, how can I make this work for my high schooler? What are the necessary elements to include in a transcript? How do I choose what to include? This workshop is designed to explore these questions and others as you become familiar with creating a four-year plan and transcript for your soon-to-be high schooler. Jo Ann Duffield, homeschool mom of 15 years and certified teacher with 13 years of portfolio evaluation experience, will lead us in a relaxed session of learning about the portfolio. Time is planned for your specific questions.
Assessment Options (with Kim Kincell)
Standardized testing and portfolio evaluation are the two most used forms of annual assessment for West Virginia home schoolers. If you have questions about assessment options, plan to join Kim Kincell and Jo Ann Duffield as they discuss details of testing and portfolios during this session.
