Bio:
Tami Fox is a writer, speaker, homeschool mom, and wife. She and her husband have homeschooled their six children for more than 15 years. They have graduated two of their children and are currently homeschooling their four boys who are still at home.
Tami has been a homeschool speaker both at homeschool conferences and through online webinars for several years. She has written a new book on organizing the home and homeschool called Giving Your Children Wings Without Losing Yours.
Tami can speak on a wide variety of topics, including raising children, organizing, unit studies, large family homeschooling, homeschooling with babies and toddlers, homeschooling methods, homeschooling in the hard times, homeschooling in high school, and how to get started homeschooling. Tami’s goal is to encourage homeschool moms.
Requirements to attend:
Since I am traveling with Marla Cilley (The FlyLady), my speaking requirements are minimal. If I am a featured speaker, I would need travel expenses from North Carolina to Richmond covered plus the hotel expenses for one room covered. I would also request a modest honorarium for each session. I have several sessions that I can offered your attendees. I am also willing to develop new sessions based on special requests of the convention committee.
References:
I highly recommend Tami Fox as a homeschool speaker. When I listened to one of her talks, I was very inspired by it (and I have been homeschooling for a long time). Veteran moms like me, and newbies, as well, are enthralled by her friendly, engaging style. As the mother of 6 with two homeschool graduates under her belt, Tami knows what she is talking about. Although we identified with her as a mom in the trenches, she was very much an expert. Her illustrations, stories, and props demonstrated that she knows what she is talking about. When Tami speaks, moms gain practical ideas and tools moms to help balance the challenges of home and school. - Gena Suarez, Publisher, The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, LLC
