Are you homeschooling through some of life’s trials? In more than fifteen years of homeschooling, Tami Fox will help you through the hard times. Tami has homeschooled through difficult pregnancies with bed rest, through seasons of end of life care of family members, and through the valley of death when two grandparents passed away in the same school year. If you are needing encouragement and a dose of grace, come to this session.

How to Get Started Homeschooling

Are you embarking on a new journey called Homeschooling? Tami Fox has been a homeschool mom to her six children for more than 15 years. She has graduated two of her children and is currently homeschooling her youngest four children. She will give you strategies and thoughts on beginning your homeschool. Do you have a family mission statement, and why is it important to your homeschool? Are you overwhelmed and don’t know where to start? Tami will guide you in getting started. Do you need a support group or co-op to homeschool? Come find out the importance of homeschooling and being a part of your local homeschool community.

Homeschooling Through High School

Are you ready to homeschool through high school? Tami Fox has graduated two of her children from her homeschool. Both of her children are young adulthoods and have chosen their careers in different ways. Tami will talk about strategies for homeschooling through high school and give tips on helping your high schooler prepare for the next step that God has for them. If you are overwhelmed with the thoughts of course selection, transcripts, and options for after high school, this is the session for you.

How Can Fine Arts Enhance Your Homeschool?

Does your homeschool experience the fine arts? In this session, Tami Fox will share information that will help you see how the fine arts will enhance your child’s learning experience. Everything is more fun and interesting if you can bring in art or music. You students will be more engaged in learning and retain more information when music and art are used along with their studies.

Bio:

Tami Fox is a writer, speaker, homeschool mom, and wife. She and her husband have homeschooled their six children for more than 15 years. They have graduated two of their children and are currently homeschooling their four boys who are still at home.

Tami has been a homeschool speaker both at homeschool conferences and through online webinars for several years. She has written a new book on organizing the home and homeschool called Giving Your Children Wings Without Losing Yours.

Tami can speak on a wide variety of topics, including raising children, organizing, unit studies, large family homeschooling, homeschooling with babies and toddlers, homeschooling methods, homeschooling in the hard times, homeschooling in high school, and how to get started homeschooling. Tami’s goal is to encourage homeschool moms.

Requirements to attend:

Since I am traveling with Marla Cilley (The FlyLady), my speaking requirements are minimal. If I am a featured speaker, I would need travel expenses from North Carolina to Richmond covered plus the hotel expenses for one room covered. I would also request a modest honorarium for each session. I have several sessions that I can offered your attendees. I am also willing to develop new sessions based on special requests of the convention committee.

References:

I highly recommend Tami Fox as a homeschool speaker. When I listened to one of her talks, I was very inspired by it (and I have been homeschooling for a long time). Veteran moms like me, and newbies, as well, are enthralled by her friendly, engaging style. As the mother of 6 with two homeschool graduates under her belt, Tami knows what she is talking about. Although we identified with her as a mom in the trenches, she was very much an expert. Her illustrations, stories, and props demonstrated that she knows what she is talking about. When Tami speaks, moms gain practical ideas and tools moms to help balance the challenges of home and school. - Gena Suarez, Publisher, The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, LLC

I can also provide additional references for you if needed.
