Some insights gained from the processes employed in two different children's approaches to the selection process through to the wedding ceremony.

There is an inherent danger in government education. The lure of free days, the economic gain of having two incomes, or “the best education” seem tempting. But at what cost? This presentation will cover the foundational principles of government education and introduce what thought leaders are offering for the education of America's children in this sector. This will be contrasted with the Biblical principles of family discipleship which include education.
Theology of Homeschooling - The goal of this presentation is to present the battleground facing education in our nation today. The worldviews that are foundational to both public and parent led education / discipleship will be reviewed. We will turn to the primary reasons for investing your life in the radical pursuit of homeschooling your children, providing Biblically based reasons for making this choice and staying the course.
Legal Polygamy - This is not about a reality TV show. The point of this session is to strengthen marriage by identifying challenging seasons that couple encounter. If a man will stay married long enough, he could be married to 7 different women. The wife of his dreams, his pregnant wife, the nursing mother, the mother with children, the pre-menopausal woman, the menopausal woman, and the empty nester are all aspects of marriage that could be encountered. How to be prepared for each phase requires a little understanding of what is going on in the heart and body of your wife. A brief overview of steps to take in each phase will be offered with the goal of living with your wife in an understanding way.
What Wives Have Been Trying to Tell Their Husbands - A survey of homeschool moms was conducted to determine what it is that these moms want/expect from their husband. The results were remarkable, especially when the top priorities were noted. This session goes through the priorities a woman requests as a homeschooler. The definition of sin is to miss the mark. As a husband, if I'm not serving my wife by meeting her needs, I'm missing the mark. This session should help in getting back on target.
You Can’t Cast a Vision Living a Boring Christian Life
What am I offering my children in the area of personal faith? Do I have a vibrant, life-giving walk with the Lord? Jesus has an agenda to establish the first commandment in our hearts. How do we come to a place in life where this can be true of us? And when our spiritual life shows true vitality, what is the vision I should be presenting to my children? How do I ensure that my family shows devotion to Jesus Christ in great capacity and builds upon the foundation I was given? The children of Israel in Judges seem to be in a three generation cycle. The first generation fought for their faith, the second generation hears about the great things God has done from the conquerors, and the third generation didn't know the Lord. How is this to be avoided in our families? This presentation had its genesis in a discussion over Christmas with my two oldest sons. It is designed to stir us to return to our first love and to encourage us to communicate the lasting vision that reaches generations.
