How Do I Teach This Kid to Write?
Do you wish someone would come alongside and lead you step-by-step through the process of teaching your child to write? This workshop offers the nuts and bolts of writing instruction and shows you how to create a confident writer while having some fun along the way. You may enter the workshop flabbergasted, but you'll leave with the tools and inspiration you need to teach your child to write. This topic can be developed into a seminar.
Slipping Sparkle into Your Homeschool
Whether you're stuck in a rut or just want to add a little fun to your homeschooling days, sparkle is what you need. In this session you'll receive a treasure chest of practical, easy-to-use ideas that will bring delight to your child's face and turn ordinary homeschooling days into extraordinary adventures. Your children will thank you for attending!
Reality Homeschooling
What happens when the image you had in your mind doesn't match the day-to-day experience of homeschooling? This session will help you learn how to reconcile your homeschooling ideals with realistic goals and expectations. You'll discover ways to avoid burnout, how to homeschool during a crisis, and how to decipher what kids really need to know to survive and thrive in this world. The goal of this workshop is to reduce stress and help you experience the true freedom we have in homeschooling.
How to Write This and That
This is a simple, straightforward approach to learning the components of various types of writing such as reports, essays, stories, book reports, and others. As we examine each type of writing, I'll show you the basic structure, offer teaching tips and possible assignments, and walk you through how to evaluate each type of writing. Whether you use a writing curriculum or not, this session will help you feel more confident teaching your child to write.
Encouraging Words for Writers
Sometimes we all need a little booster shot to remind us that we can write, we should write, and it will all be worthwhile. This workshop is filled with encouragement, inspiration, and practical advice on being a writer while living in the real world. It's an hour of pure writing refreshment.
In the Beginning- “I’m a w…w…writer.”
Is that hard for you to say? This workshop is for those who are just starting out in the field of writing. I will help you gain confidence as a writer and lead you down the pathway to potential publication. We will also explore the common questions and concerns of new writers.
