Experiencing the Joy of Young Womanhood
Young ladies, what are your goals in life? Are you waiting for something to happen? Courtship? Marriage? An exciting opportunity? Sarah shares truth from Scripture and true-life testimonies about the importance of seeking God's will for your life and resting in Him. She gives practical applications to joyfully serving the Lord. Sarah will explore aspects of a young woman’s life that lead to true joy. It all starts with the foundation– a relationship with Jesus Christ. She delves into hindrances to joy as well as many practical aspects of living joyfully for Jesus. Plenty of personal testimonies and examples from Sarah’s life are sprinkled into the session
How to Start and Run Your Own Business (With Christopher Maxwell)
During their teen years, homeschool students have incredible opportunities to start, run, and build successful businesses. You will not only be earning income but also learning invaluable life skills. In this practical session, given by a brother and sister team, Christopher (31) and Sarah Maxwell (28) share how you can start your own business. Both Christopher and Sarah have real-life experience with a variety of businesses. The session will cover issues such as: What type of business should you start or avoid? What are the legal and tax ramifications? What skills do you need and how do you acquire them? Plus much more. You’ll come away with specific ideas– and hopefully a big dose of motivation– to start your own business! Don’t waste your teen years– do something beneficial!
Learning to be Keepers at Home (with Anna and Mary Maxwell)
Learning to be a keeper at home is an important skill for young ladies as they face their future. Whether you will be married or single, young ladies must be able to efficiently and joyfully manage the house. The Maxwell sisters will share how you can enjoy homemaking tasks and delight in serving your family. Practical ideas in the areas of gardening, sewing, cleaning, cooking, and baking will motivate you on what you can do in your family.
