Teaching Spelling: When Our Memory Fades
Perhaps no cognitive act exemplifies the wonder of God’s creation than the act of spelling. This workshop looks both at spelling and spelling rules, and it also examines the physical aspects of spelling. Mrs. Stobaugh, a learning disability therapist, shows parents and teachers how to make spelling a thinking rather than merely a memorization process. Mrs. Stobaugh also answers these question, “Why do some very bright students spell poorly” and “what can we do to improve their spelling skills?”
But We had Hoped... The Home Schooled Prodigal
We all like the happy stories, but what about the stories that do not have happy endings. After faithfully homeschooling all of their lives, what if all our best efforts seem to fail... what if our child(ren) choose not to walk with God? Karen will look at the life of Absalom and the story of the Prodigal Son and share stories. You will be encouraged as she shares her struggles with her oldest daughter and invites you to share your honest questions and struggles.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Karen Stobaugh and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints. Disclaimer:
