Debate? Who Has the Time?
Are you considering that debate just might be for your family but you are concerned that you don't have the time? This workshop will help families consider the benefits of being involved in competitive debate. We'll discuss typical reactions to the debate calendar and offer suggestions on accommodating both school and debate into the homeschooling calendar and weekly routine. Additionally, we'll explain how to give credit for work completed while preparing for and debating the current year's resolution. In the process, we'll speak of the lessons we've learned and review some of the mistakes we've made. Our entire family will share in the presentation, ensuring a varied perspective on the schedule demands and blessings of debating.
