Manager of Their Homes
Universally, homeschooling moms face a daunting task as they fit school into already busy days. In this workshop, Teri shares practical, proven time-management methods from her book Managers of Their Homes: A Practical Guide to Daily Scheduling for Christian Homeschool Families. As a homeschooling mom since 1985 with eight children, the Lord has taught Teri these simple, but workable solutions to the difficulty homeschooling moms have of "getting it ALL done." How does one schedule school time? What about schooling with babies and toddlers? Are you struggling with keeping up in areas such as laundry, dishes, or housekeeping? Does it seem like there is no time for you in the day? Are you missing special time with your children? Do you feel stressed over the busyness of your days or not accomplishing all you want? Are your children doing what you want them to do each day? Gain new hope as you hear results from moms who have applied these methods. They have moved from chaos, stress, and disorganization to peace, contentment, and productivity. You can as well!

Homeschooling with a Meek & Quiet Spirit
The desire of a homeschooling mothers heart is to have a meek and quiet spirit instead of the negative emotions she often experiences. Because Teri, a mother of eight, has walked the homeschooling path since 1985, she knows first-hand the struggle for a meek and quiet spirit. She gives practical insights into gaining a meek and quiet spirit that any mom can take and apply to her individual circumstances. Teri transparently shares the struggles God has brought her through with depression, anger, discouragement and fear.

Keeping Our Children's Hearts (with Steve)
This topic represents perhaps the greatest challenge every homeschooling parent faces. We want not only to educate our children academically but also to come through the homeschooling years with children who have become mature Christian men and women living their lives for Jesus Christ. Steve and Teri together share what they have gleaned from Scripture and applied in their home, as they have raised three children, now in their twenties, who never rebelled. They are applying the same principles with the younger five. This is a powerful session presenting exciting information that holds the key to successful homeschooling.

The Homeschooling Family: Building a Vision (with Steve)
Doubts, discouragement, and burnout can easily shipwreck the family that doesnt know where they are going. What is it that keeps a family homeschooling through a moms feelings of being overwhelmed, a child with a rebellious spirit, or a house full of babies and toddlers? Together, Steve and Teri share in this workshop how they moved from homeschooling for convenience (well try it a year and see how it goes) to homeschooling forever. They will give you concrete examples from homeschooling struggles they have experienced and how they made it through. With three adult children whom they homeschooled and five more children who are currently being homeschooled, they have the experience to know how to keep on while still being in the trenches of day to day homeschooling.

Anger: Relationship Poison (with Steve Maxwell)
Homeschooling families have a heart's desire to raise godly children. However, it seems that anger is found in many homeschooling parents, and it can undermine all the hours invested in positive teaching. It can destroy our most precious relationships. Have you noticed how certain levels of anger are accepted and justified? Is a little anger beneficial? Do you have difficulty controlling your anger? Is a harsh tone in your voice anger? Are you discouraged by the anger in your life and in your home? Steve and Teri Maxwell will encourage you on this universally needed topic as they share from God's Word and personal testimonies.

Loving Your Husband
It is easy for a mom to become consumed with children and day-to-day life. This leaves the opportunity for creating a huge gap in her relationship with the key person in her life—her husband. Don’t damage or lose that special relationship with your husband but rather develop and strengthen it.

Managers of Their Chores: How Chores Facilitate the Homeschooling Family
What homeschooling mom has time to teach plus do all the housework in the home? Most families would agree that it is important to have their children pitching in to help by doing chores. However, striving for the achievement of that goal is another matter. It often leads to conflict, guilt, and failure. In this session, the Maxwells discuss a biblical basis for chores, the multitude of benefits chores bring, the inherent pitfalls of chore implementation, and how to make chores as stress-free as possible. In addition, you will be introduced to a new concept in a chore system, developed by the Maxwells after many years of failure with other chore plans. From preschoolers to teens, each person can be a contributing member of the family while gaining life-long personal benefits that prepare him for life.
