Lobbyist for home education in Tallahassee, Florida
|
Brenda Dickinson is our lobbyist and the founder of HEF (Home Education Foundation). HEF was established in 1991 to raise support and direct lobbying for home education in Florida. Currently, Brenda is watching carefully and monitoring bills that affect education in Florida, particularly those that could impact home education. As lobbyist, she makes it a point to inform and educate anyone who could potentially affect homeschooling. She does this by circulating information, meeting with advisory groups, answering questions, and providing the tools needed to influential voters so they may better understand who homeschoolers are and what we need. Throughout the year, Brenda works hard to establish relationships with homeschoolers, community leaders, school districts, and anyone who can impact homeschooling laws. Lobbying is a full-time responsibility and one that serves every single homeschooler in the State of Florida.

Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences.
