Media Choices: Convictions or Compromise?
Need help for raising children in a media saturated society? Are you concerned about the impact of video games, Facebook, YouTube, iPods, texting, television and more?  Do you feel as if you are cowering like Israel before the giant Goliath who continues to mock God and taunt the nation?  Have no fear, there’s help to be found in God’s Word. This workshop will teach you how you can fight the media giant in your life using Biblical principles instead of legalistic rules.

The Counterfeit Life: Entertainment’s Deceptive Messages about Life to the Fullest
Today's entertainment has become one of the biggest stumbling blocks of spiritual growth and family health in this generation. It often portrays deceptive messages about what it means to live life to the fullest.  Many careless homes have allowed toxic media to poison hearts and minds with wrong ideas about relationships, accomplishment, purpose, and identity. Learn about the messages prevalent in today’s media that could rob you and your family of the real life that God wants you to have.

Finding Freedom in a Media Captive Culture
Finding freedom often starts with an understanding that we might be blind to our captivity. When Jesus talked to His followers about gaining freedom they responded, “we have never been in bondage to anyone.” This generation has become captive to TV, captive to social networks, captive to texting, captive to video games, captive to pornography, and captive to a number of other forms of electronic media that have taken control of many lives and are holding them hostage. Many adults, young adults, teens, and children have been deceived by the world’s philosophy that freedom means doing whatever you please.  Learn what authentic freedom is and how to escape the cultural walls that try to keep us from it.

Handle with Care: Family Conflicts over Media & Entertainment
What do you do when you discover that your kids are digitally connected to nearly everything and everyone but you? How should a spouse respond if the husband and wife are not on the same page regarding media choices in the home? Rediscover timeless Biblical principles that can be applied to modern family struggles.

Regaining Focus in an Age of Digital Distractions
For over 60 years, American culture has had an ever increasing infatuation with electronic media and entertainment. A handful of thoughtful skeptics in the past contemplated the long term effects on family, society, and individuals. Now we are reaping the consequences as more and more studies confirm what some had rightly predicted. That is, our ability to be attentive is steadily eroding. We are becoming less attentive to our families, study, work, and most importantly, to God. What are the results and what will it take to regain the ground that has been lost?

The Battle is Not Against Hollywood
We cannot afford to remain ignorant about the spiritual war and the tactics and weapons of the enemy. Hollywood and other strongholds of entertainment and media are not the enemy but have often become weapons in the hands of the enemy. We are under attack and many homes and individuals have become POW’s. The Bible teaches that we should not be ignorant of the wiles and schemes of Satan. Learn how to resist the enemy and live the victorious life.

Understanding Biblical Worship in the age of American Idol [atry]
We don’t think of our culture as idolatrous because we don’t see people bowing down to statues and making sacrifices and offerings to false gods. Our understanding of idolatry is too narrow and our understanding of true worship is also becoming more and more confused. This workshop looks at the Biblical understanding of genuine worship in contrast with mankind’s tendency towards idolatry which continues to manifest itself in our entertainment driven society.

Analyzing Movies and Other Entertainment from a Biblical Worldview
There are many websites today dedicated to providing movie reviews but do you have a Biblical framework for personal analysis and discernment? Are you teaching your children the importance of analyzing electronic media in conjunction with teaching them to analyze the books that they read? Entertainment is not neutral. All media has a message and those messages can have an impact in our lives for good or for bad.

Hearing God in a World Full of Noise
We are constantly bombarded with noise in this day and age. In all this clamor are we able to discern God’s voice? Jesus said that His sheep would hear His voice. Have you struggled with understanding what it means to hear God's voice? Are you someone who wonders why you don't hear His voice? This teaching focuses on a biblical understanding of what it means to hear God voice and some common hindrances in our lives that can block our spiritual ears. Many Christians do not realize that the focus in Scriptures regarding God’s voice is not on hearing but on obeying.

Finding Green Pastures in the Digital Age
The digital age has swept in like a tidal wave and threatens to engulf every waking moment of our lives. Shepherding your family to healthy and restful pastures is a monumental task. The response to the many changes and challenges we are facing is not to be anti-media or anti-technology but to grow in discernment and use biblical guidance to make wise media and entertainment choices.

What Some are Saying…

“This is the BEST of all the seminars this convention year! A valuable message and earnest!”

“Very timely!! You are dealing with real life issues. Thanks for all the Bible references!!”

“Excellent session, it is so needed in this day and age.”

“This touched on a topic that I have been struggling with since having children of my own.”

“This workshop appealed to a broad age spectrum – I took my teens. Very little is presented on this subject by the local church!”

“A thorough and unique approach to this topic with helpful statistics and a solid Biblical foundation upon which all else rested.”

“Very, very well done. I REALLY NEEDED this! Thank you!”

“My family struggles with 5 out of your 6 aspects of the counterfeit life.  Amazing to see those pointed out.  Thank you for that.  You have shined a flashlight into my media habits.” ~Andrew

“Great job! Keep it up! The world needs to hear this message!” ~Marinelle

“Thank you x 1 million.  I have been increasingly convicted about the media in our home especially about being more courageous to say “no” to what my daughter is doing and watching.  This was so encouraging and affirming to my convictions.  Please pray that my husband and I will become unified around this issue and sanctified in this area.  Thank you for the gospel in there.  I want to give the CD to some non-Christian friends!” ~Alicia

“Great, timely message.  Should have been a 90 or 120 min. session.  Much to share” ~Barbara

“Phillip, Thank you SO MUCH!!! I needed to hear your talk! I am encouraged to unplug and plug into the Lord.  Teaching my children to be discerning as well.  God bless you, you have been a blessing!” John

“Wonderful presentation.  This renewed my convictions about media in our home and is invigorating fuel for our family and media choices. God bless.”

“I just got back from pre-teen camp and was surprised and saddened at how dependent and exposed the kids were via cell phone, Facebook, YouTube, secular music, etc.  I felt pretty powerless considering  most other Christian adults seem to have no problem with exposing their kids to this.  It was encouraging to have this as a seminar, thanks.” Heather

“Heart breaking, eye opening, fantastic!! Thank you for your ministry! I want my boys to be godly men!!”

“Awesome! I very much agree.  It is wonderful to have Bible references.” Tracie

“Thank you! Keep it up! So glad to see a ministry like yours!” Scott

“I thought your presentation was AWESOME! I have given up TV and it was powerful but I know I have more work to do.”

“As a consumer of media who has gorged himself from a very early age, this really spoke to me in the habits I have formed, the sensitivities I have (or lack of), and the deceit I have experienced as a result.  I look forward to learning more from your organization in order to “re-sensitize” myself to the world and the wonders of God as a result. Thanks!” Christopher

“Phillip, Thanks so much, I really enjoyed your talk and needed it.  These are rough times we live in but it is good that you and your team are pressed to give the message you have – and praise God for that.  I will look forward to receiving e-mails and will commit to pray for your ministry as I try with the Lord’s help to media fast! Thank you.” Jeannell

 “Wonderfully convicting message!” ~Jeff

“Great seminar! Much needed! Thanks!” ~ Suzanne

“Thank you so much! It’s wonderful to see Scriptures pointed out to me on this subject. Praise the Lord this message is going out!” ~Sarah

“This was a great workshop, the way he spoke with  truthful concern about media influence without being negative to the teens attending.”

“Very clear and convicting. He applied the Bible in a very real world problem.”

 “Please have him back!”

 “Excellent, my favorite workshop”

 “The truth spoken in love!!”

“Great session, I wish the kids were with me to hear it firsthand!”
