High School: Dodging the Pot Holes to Higher Education
The high school years and its preparation for higher education can be a successful summation of one’s homeschooling experience or it can be a nightmare laced with confusion and fear. This interactive workshop will give the parents and their high school student the opportunity to identify those issues that are of concern to them as both the parents and student approach the high school years and beyond to higher educational formats. This workshop will then encourage the parents and student to resolve those issues that may be conflicting with a successful educational experience. The format of this session will emphasize problem solving techniques based on parents and student suggested topics of interest and concerns within the arenas of high school and higher education. Dodging the pot holes towards this educational experience will empower the parents and student toward not only a productive educational track, but one that also addresses emotional concerns. Finally, this workshop includes a graduate of homeschooling to further support realistic and workable information

Caution! You Are Now Entering Dual-Enrollment
So you want to dual-enroll your child. Do you know what questions to ask before you engage in this adventure? Do you know what criteria need to be met in order to dual-enroll? This workshop covers the "nuts and bolts" in how to engage in dual enrollment: grade school through college. Subject matter, the public school/private environments, and student maturity are issues also addressed. This will be an open discussion allowing for questions and answers.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Neoka Apple and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences.
