Caution – Comprehending Readers Under Construction!
The goal of reading is an independent and comprehending reader. Research shows comprehension improves when the early skills (phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency) are in place. This interactive presentation encourages audience participation. It begins with actual data analysis and a plan, and then identifies the tools to create a successful learning experience for students with reading and spelling deficits. Participants will gain knowledge to begin implementing methods in their homes or classrooms immediately. Handouts provided.
