Homeschooling 101
Every year we are asked dozens of questions by families just trying to sort through what this homeschooling phenomenon is all about. We have put together a panel presentation based on ICHE's years of experience helping families launch into the new adventure of homeschooling. We cover some legal basics and the nuts-n-bolts of how a homeschool day can work. We also give you some framework for sorting through the maze of seemingly endless curriculum choices. All of this is blanketed by ICHE's vision for striving to make Christ the Lord of our homes, and passing on that vision to our children. So, whether you have little ones not quite ready for 1st grade, or whether you are thinking about pulling your teenager out of high school for the very first time, we will do our best to answer as many of your questions as we can.

Advanced Education Beyond High School in the 21st Century (with Steve Grutzius)
Join Steve and Sandi in answering the question, “Can you ‘homeschool’ after high school?” This workshop is designed to share creative and challenging resources to continue homeschooling at the advanced educational level. We are at the beginning of one of the greatest periods of opportunity ever in human history that has unearthed possibilities unlike anything ever seen before. If you are homeschooling through high school, why stop there?! Find out more!

What Every Homeschool Parent Wants to Know: How Am I Doing?

Hear the good, the bad … and the funny of homeschooling while interacting with Sandi and a panel of seasoned homeschool graduates! Come laugh and learn with some of our very own homeschool children who allowed us to experiment on them. See what ‘worked’ and what didn’t. Find out what resources and teaching brought the greatest return and fruit in the lives of post-homeschool graduates. They will respond to many of the most FAQ with time to ask some your own! This session is guaranteed to bring a good laugh!

Hearts Away from Home
This session is for homeschool moms who are struggling with distractions and discontentment in their efforts to homeschool. Identifying root causes and applying basic Biblical principles will transform you and your home. This talk will both challenge and encourage you to “stay the course”.

Grutzius's Bio

Sandi is married to Steve, with whom she sometimes speaks.

Sandi and her husband Steve joined the ICHE Board in 2006. They have homeschooled five children for the past eleven years. Prior to family and conviction to homeschool, Sandi was employed as a consultant to senior management in the health-care arena and taught business development in a local university MBA program. Upon the birth of their first child, God began to call their hearts home and teach them the truths of becoming a visionary family for His glory. Steve and Sandi have a growing ministry to train parents in a Biblical vision for their families.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Sandi Grutzius and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints.
