Technology Facilitated Crimes Against the Family (Adults only)
This seminar by its very nature may not be suitable for children under 14 years of age. Discussion will include what technology is currently out there and how it is being used to commit crimes against our children and what parents can do to protect their children while using the technology. This will include: social networking, instant messaging, chat rooms, peer to peer, on-line gaming, cell phones, texting, home gaming systems, and sexual predators.
 
Identity Theft: Are You Who You Say You Are? (Adults only)
One in four people will be the victim of identity theft or a victim of a scam. The average person will spend more than 100 hours trying to repair their credit and identity after becoming a victim. This seminar will cover current trends in Identity Theft and discuss basic steps you can take to protect yourself. It will also cover current scams and frauds that you need to be aware of that could cost you thousands of dollars. If you use a checkbook, a credit card, or a computer, you are at risk.
