Making Nature Education a Part of Your Homeschool
One of the benefits of homeschooling is the fact that we have time and freedom to pursue many activities that traditional schools have to leave out. This session will address the benefits of nature education and give you some ideas about how you can incorporate it into your kids' lives. We'll discuss nature journaling and its cross-curricular benefits, how to start a nature club within your homeschooling community, and where to find resources online, at your library and in your community that can assist you in fostering your kids' love of and education about the natural world. Nature education fits in with every homeschooling style and educational philosophy, and it's appropriate and interesting for kids of all ages. Even if you think you know next to nothing about nature, you can encourage your children's enthusiasm and give them the benefits of nature education.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Amy Wilson and other workshop leaders and speakers.
