SURPRISED by their Learning Style! (Learning Styles, 1 hour)
What do you do when you realize your child has a learning style different from your own? And when all your children seem to learn differently from one another? Often we have struggles when we try to force our child into our own learning style, but it can be overwhelming to think about adapting your lessons to fit multiple learners. Learn from my mistakes and come away with some easy to apply ideas for incorporating several learning styles into your day without spending hours in preparation.

Include Very Young Learners in Your Homeschool (Preschool, Multi-Level Teaching, 1 hour)
Don’t just occupy their time so they are not underfoot, but actually include your preschoolers and toddlers into your school days. Using inexpensive and simple creative techniques, you can provide learning opportunities for your young children to come alongside your school age children and be a part of the learning process at their own level. These techniques will benefit you, your little ones, and your older ones by allowing everyone to show you what they know!

Learn More, Faster with Fun! (Hands-On, Multi-Level, 1 hour)
Learn strategies and approaches that will leave your students laughing and learning all the way through school! From toddlers, reading, writing, and history to training the teacher and simplifying both planning and record keeping, there's something here that your family needs!

Simplified Homeschool Record Keeping (Record Keeping, 50 minutes)
Don't be intimidated by the idea of record-keeping for your homeschool! Use these techniques and ideas to create a simple portfolio for the elementary and middle school years that will become a keepsake for years to come.

Stoll's Bio

As Charlie and I started our family in 1999, we intended to add children to the mix right away. After struggling with infertility, we were foster parents for 3 years and added our oldest two sons to our family through adoption in 2003. In the subsequent 5 years, we added three biological children to the mix, proving that God's plans are indeed higher than our own!

My own education had been a mix of various experiences - including mainstreaming with pull-out special ed classes, self-contained special ed classes, and private schooling - and I was determined to provide something different, and better, for my own children. We began homeschooling and I quickly saw that God would have as many lessons for me as I had for the children!

I realized that my oldest sons did not want to sit at the table and learn in nice, quiet packages, and  I saw that this homeschooling thing was not going to be as easy as I had thought! After researching and investigating many methods and materials, I found our groove as we became more relaxed, more hands-on, and very eclectic in our selections.

When one of our sons began struggling with learning, I found Joyce Herzog and we began one-on-one tutoring with her. Once again, I saw that my own lessons were going to be even more profound than those my son was learning. Joyce changed the way I saw my children and their unique characteristics and strengths that God had given them. I began looking at creative ways to help them become all God intends for them to be without focusing on their weaknesses and difficulties.

Before long, I began collaborating with Joyce on curricula and product development. In addition to writing and creating materials, I am now traveling with JoyceHerzog.com throughout the country as a convention representative and workshop/lecture presenter.

Sharing new ideas and methods with others is exciting to me! Connecting with other homeschool moms and helping them see beyond textbooks and worksheets energizes me! I love what I am doing and look forward to continuing with JoyceHerzog.com for many years to come.
