Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, Normand has always been involved in business education and developemnt. An entrepreneur all his life, Normand Schafer, started early by selling hazelnuts on the side of the road. Growing up, he found unique ways to sell everything from worms to Hawaii T-Shirts. He graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii with degrees in both Computer Support and Travel Management without any student loans due to starting a business while in school.

After university, and with a desire to own his own travel business, Normand started out by selling travel packages out of a closet. His company Cheap Tickets Canada quickly rose to be named one of Canada’s 100 fastest growing companies two years in a row.

As a devoted husband and homeschooling father of 6, Normand lives his dream as his family travels around the world. Whether adventure travel to the remote Marquesas Islands, Humanitarian Trips to Guatemala or a 23,000 km North American road trip, Normand teaches leadership and business principals to his business community, homeschool network and growing family through real life experiences.
