Recognizing When an Undiagnosed Vision Problem May be Hindering Your Child’s Learning
20/20 eyesight is not enough to assure that your child is visually prepared to handle school work. There are at least fifteen visual skills which are critical for reading and learning. Most vision screenings and even many eye exams ignore these critical factors. This lecture will help you identify when a vision problem might be at the root of learning difficulties. The lecture will also provide you with information and screening tools designed to help you identify vision problems beyond 20/20 which are affecting your child’s performance. We will also discuss how undiagnosed vision problems can be mistaken for AD(H)D, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.
