How to Teach the Fine Arts
Cathy will share how to teach those more elusive “fine arts” topics that may seem a little less accessible to us as parents—literature, composers, artists/art, opera, drama/theater and poetry—and add some hands-on project ideas to help you enrich and develop them as well-rounded, culturally knowledgeable children and young people. And it won’t hurt us either! Cathy will also give away a few examples of some of her favorite books and resources!
Why Become a ‘Keeper of Books’
Could your homeschool use a little stirring of the imagination? How about inspiring noble character? Or thrilling the heart of your child? Cathy will share ideas for finding books that will do just that. She will also answer the “why’s” & “how’s” of building a multi-generational home library on a small budget (let’s just say “cheaply”) and share her favorite booklists (including not-to-miss authors & series). Cathy will give away a few examples of some of her favorite books!

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Cathy Sorensen and other workshop leaders and speakers.
