Debate Clubs for Homeschoolers
Through Debate, a student gains confidence in public speaking, learns the value of research, practices thinking through a line of reasoning, discovers alternative ways to phrase a question, and has the opportunity to work closely with others. Debate also offers the homeschooled student the opportunity to win with humility and loose with grace. This session will include testimonies from students and parents, as well as information about various styles of Debate and the growing opportunities found around Iowa.
