Start a Business - While still in school
7 Important considerations for building a successful business during your homeschool years and beyond.  God calls us to meaningful work, yes most of our homeschooled sons and daughters are sitting in the kitchen reading text books and memorizing theory, instead of actually doing something exciting.  Children learn best when they can see God's principles at work.  Whether it's math, buying and selling, writing up marketing brochures, or meeting peoples needs through a home based business, there are many things to learn, that are easier to learn while doing something meaningful.  In this one hour presentation, David explores the elements of a successful business, integrating ministry into business, and how to get started as early as age 13.

Don't Recreate the Public School at Home
Biblical learning is based on discipleship, not classroom, peer-group learning.  Regardless of how you came to the decision to homeschool, the model you have chosen is scriptural, and has been shown to produce far better results than a traditional public school education. But don't start recreating the public school model at home! There are better ways to use your time - in this session I show parents how to make the most of their homeschool opportunity by challenging traditional school models and offering up ideas that will far exceed the results of the traditional systems we have all been raised by.

Avoiding the Mindset that Hinders True Prosperity
The Greeks developed educational models that centralized education, pulling young children out of the home to be taught by professionals.  Today, our education system is largely based on this idea, that children should enter the system, while both parents go off to work.  Boys and girls are treated as the same - meaning they funtion in the same role, carry out the same work, and differ only in bodily form.  In this session, David explores the Greek and Hebrew learning models, and how our industrial revolution leaders set up our education system to create a society of autonomous individuals who would be willing to leave their families, give their allegence to the state, and be content performing mundane tasks under a few corporate leaders.  From here, he offers alternatives to help you raise up entrepreneurial thinkers - men and woman who will be prepared for much greater works as they emerge from their high-school years.

Disciplines of Raising Entrepreneurs - Renewing a Father's Vision for Homeschool
When asked if they homeschool, most homeschooling fathers respond saying, "My wife homeschools."  In this session, David shares how God called him out of his busy work world to start a business as a platform for raising his children, and how he then became deeply involved in the schooling process with his wife and children.  He will share five key disciplines he had to develop to make this work, along with some amazing results!

Stelzl's Bio

David Stelzl, is the founder and president of Stelzl Visionary Learning Concepts, Inc.  For the past eight years he has spoken at conferences, consulted with marketing groups, and trained sales people for some of the largest technology companies in the world, while also authoring three books; The House & the Cloud, Data@Risk, and From Vendor to Adviser.  During this time he has been working to create a program that will help families and young people find greater purpose in life, and to experience the excitement of innovation and creativity, as they develop their talents and passions through new businesses and opportunities that far surpass the average education and career path. While education is extremely important, David believes there is so much more out there than getting a degree, building a resume, and finding a job.  In 2011, He and his family started a new program they call Raising Entrepreneurers – A Model for Family Success.  A program for young people designed to help them understand their God-given talents and passions, find greater purpose in life, and get on track with building something great – all based on Biblical principles that are timeless and absolute.
