This workshop focuses on specific no-frills/low-cost/easy-to-implement strategies to help our children break through obstacles to learning. These are not something extra that we add on to our lesson plan; these are ideas to change how we teach our kids. There isn't one magic bullet for most of our students. We'll talk about all the little things that we can do to stack the deck in everyone's favor . . . to make learning a little easier for everyone concerned!

This workshop encourages parents of special needs children that yes, they can help their child.Sometimes this means outside help, sometimes it means adjusting our expectations, and sometimes it means simply adapting what we're doing until the light goes on.The key is having the confidence to pursue something different.

Failure to Connect: Choosing Curriculum That Fits
Home education gives us the opportunity to choose or design a curriculum that allows our children (and our families) to be who they are uniquely created to be. So, why do we sometimes simply follow the crowd? One size does NOT fit all! Let’s look at the things that make a curriculum or method of teaching a good choice . . . or a disaster!
