Beginning Reading: Less Stress, More Success!!
This workshop uses simple word pictures to illustrate important truths about teaching children to read. These simple principles can help you teach your beginning reader with more enjoyment, less stress, and more success.

Beginning Reading: The Right Start
For a child to be a great reader, he needs to know letter sounds PLUS many sight words PLUS various reading strategies using real books. If any of these parts are left out, you run the risk of having a Swiss cheese reader – a child with holes in their education. This workshop addresses the importance of your child learning sights, sounds, AND strategies all at the same time and from the very beginning.  When we teach our children sights, sounds, and strategies all together, we stop the Swiss cheese problems that so many of our children must struggle with – where there are holes in their early education and they practice poor habits for too long before they get fixed – IF they ever get fixed.

Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints.
