Representative Daniel Webster currently serves Central Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives and is a member of the Rules Committee. In the Florida Legislature, where he served for nearly three decades, Webster was the first Republican Speaker of the House in 122 years, and later the Majority Leader in the Florida Senate. Webster worked in the leadership roles to transform the status quo in Florida politics and pass sweeping reforms.
Webster has been recognized as the "Father of Home Education" for sponsoring legislation in 1985 that allowed Florida parents to teach their children at home. He and his wife, Sandy, homeschooled their six children.
Known for many things, Daniel Webster still holds his faith, his family, and his principles as his biggest assets.
