Stephen Kendrick has had a passion for movie making since childhood. After falling in love with the Lord as a teenager, Stephen took his love for video making into ministry. He helped Sherwood Church establish Sherwood Pictures in 2003, and filled key roles as co-writer and producer in all four of Sherwood Pictures' movie releases, Fireproof, Facing the Giants, Flywheel and Courageous. He also worked with Provident Films in developing marketing and Bible study resources for each movie. All four of Sherwood's movies far surpassed box-office expectations.

In the Spring of 2008, Stephen and his brother Alex co-wrote The Love Dare book which challenges married couples to a 40 day journey to lead their hearts and build their marriages on unconditional love. Shipping over 1 million copies in a matter of weeks, The Love Dare hit #1 on New York Times bestsellers list.

He serves as Associate Teaching Pastor at Sherwood Baptist Church since 2001. He oversees the church's prayer ministry, directs major events, and works on movie productions. Stephen Kendrick also serves as the Senior Pastor's preaching assistant filling the pulpit when the pastor is gone.

Stephen graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and has done Masters of Divinity work at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Stephen Kendrick and his wife Jill have been happily married for 12 years, live in Albany, Georgia and have four children, Grant, Cohen, Karis, and John.
