Hubbard's Bio

I have spent the past few years working for schools full-time. The Christian High School where I now work has put me in touch with several home schooling families who ask for advice on teaching special needs students at home and about standardized testing. I have knowledge on both of these topics and know there are more families out there with questions.

I home schooled my children from K-12. Once they no longer needed my services, I brushed off my University of Delaware teaching degree, lived in Maryland, and worked at Fort Meade Senior High. In 2008 finished my masters in Special Education and moved to Lewes, DE. I worked for four years in an endowed position teaching two special needs students at Delmarva Christian High School. This past year the school asked me to oversee their "Learning Enrichment Program" which opened up our school to learners of varied ability.

Knowing the home school community and understanding a family's desire to educate children with special needs at home, I am trained to administer tests to assess the student's needs and suggest to parents how their son or daughter might be best taught. I am also certified to administer Stanford and Iowa Achievement tests to any student from grades 2-12. If a high school student with special needs requires extra time, extra breaks, or special accommodations for the SAT test, I am an active Students With Disabilities Test Coordinator for the College Board and can make those arrangements.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Judy Hubbard and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints.
