Writing Essays
Climbing Mt. Everest, jumping out of airplanes and speaking publicly are the only things that seem more daunting than creating an essay. Parents need a plan to follow, goals to accomplish with their kids and a list of skills they should be imparting. Specifically, essay writing includes skills like researching, summarizing, outlining, choosing a thesis, developing a personal writing style and utilizing proper grammar. You will be equipped to handle their groans because as the parent, you will understand the essay writing process and see its value.

A decade ago, Kimberly hit the home schooling scene kicking and screaming. Today, she is a passionately home-educating momma who has grasped the magnitude of her calling to love and teach. She and her husband have four children, ages three to fourteen, all of whom are being educated at home. Kimberly remembers her exact thoughts that first day of teaching her children: “This is what I was made for!” Ten years of making library trips, cooking ethnic meals, flooding a mock Nile River bed and counting piles of nickels have both brought a little gray to her head and developed a great appreciation for teaching at home. Since she first won a small town story writing contest in third grade, Kimberly has been driven to write. Her itch gets satisfied by scribbling in her journal, jotting a note to a friend and inspiring the next generation to write. For several years she has advised a journalism class whose purpose is to publish a homeschooling newspaper for their academy. More recently, Kimberly teaches writing classes for all ages and offers a service for essay evaluation.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Kimberly Coleman and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints. Disclaimer:
