Homeschool Technology Panel (Betsy Eisenhour, Amy Roberts, and Sarah Robinson)
Three homeschool mothers and bloggers will address how technology enhances the homeschool experience in their homes, educational software, online resources, and questions from the audience.
Developing and Adapting a Family Routine/Schedule for the Multi-Aged, Multi-Abled Family
Having six children, several with special needs, and being a farm family, has had it’s ups and downs when it comes to keeping up. The idea of “just keep swimming,” when you are drowning in a pool of overwhelming self-pity is overwhelming. Over the years, I have struggled, and more often than not, my home isn’t in tip top shape; however, we have developed routines and the ability to get the house cleaned up rather quickly most of the time. In this workshop, we will discuss ways to adapt and put together routines based on your family’s current flow of the day. We will talk about priorities and age-appropriate chores for even your special needs children. Chaos is not what God wants in our days, and together we will learn how to find our way out of the chaos.
Curriculum Modifications for the Multi-Abled Homeschool
Homeschooling multiple ages and abilities has a way of making the homeschool mom get creative with curriculum. We will discuss ways to modify curriculum to meet the multiple needs and abilities of your children, helping you spend less money on curriculum and less time planning, while focusing more time educating your children. Learning basic modifications can help you enjoy pretty much any curriculum you have and be able to use it to meet your children’s needs. We will also discuss what to look for when purchasing curriculum to help make it easier to modify for your family.

Homeschooling mother, with experience teaching special needs children.
|
Betty Eisenhour is a Central Kansas farm wife and mother to six children, four with special needs. She has experience with Dysgraphia, SPD, speech, and vision challenges. She uses a few tech gadgets in her homeschool for several reasons, ranging from helping her special needs children reach their highest potential to helping her stay organized. She believes that today, in a society that is technology advanced, it is important for children to learn the proper uses of technology to help them be successful adults. Betty has been homeschooling for eight years. Betty blogs at www.peacecreekontheprairie.com.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Betty Eisenhour and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints. Disclaimer:
