From Home School to College: Getting In and Doing Well
Criswell College President Jerry A. Johnson, whose children are home schooled, offers some valuable counsel to parents wishing to home school their high schoolers. He will give you tips on how to prepare your home schooler for college as well as how to get your student from home school into college. The presentation will include specifics, including some best practices in pre-college preparation, critical thinking exercises, and college entrance exams.

Dr. Jerry Johnson, President of Criswell College, is a home school dad. A graduate of Criswell College himself, Dr. Johnson earned graduate degrees at Denver Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he remained in various roles for 14 years. He was dean of Boyce College and served in various roles at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in pastoral ministry in Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, and Texas. Dr. Johnson has traveled on a dozen international mission trips, written numerous theological position papers and has published various articles of interest to Southern Baptists.
