Terminal Cancer Wasn't in My Plans
The storms of 2012-2013 have been unlike any that 23-year-old Abigail Smith had ever experienced and she couldn’t have gotten through them without Jesus right by her side. Through these times, Abigail has come to know God’s faithfulness in a deeper way than ever before. When life happens—financial struggles, health problems, tragedies, the list is limitless—just knowing that God is right beside us with love, peace, courage and grace to walk us through it is so encouraging. Abigail has been battling Synovial Cell Sarcoma since January 2012. As you can imagine, there are times she has been riding a non-stop roller coaster of emotions. But throughout this whole experience God’s faithfulness and peace have been so real to her that she can't not share about His faithfulness and goodness to her.
 

Abigail Smith, 23-year-old daughter of Ron and Betty Smith (Eagle's Wings Educational Materials), has been battling a form of terminal cancer known as Synovial Cell Sarcoma since January 2012. Abigail has been blessed to have a close relationship with her family—they have helped shape her into the person she is today. Thanks to her parents making travel an important part of their lives, she has been to most of the U.S. as well as to several other countries. Her passion is to share with this generation their identity in Christ and how that can change their lives. At times she has felt as though she were riding a non-stop roller coaster of emotions. But throughout this whole experience God’s faithfulness and peace have been so real to her that she can't not share about His faithfulness and goodness to her.
