Teaching Finance The Personal Way
This session is designed for parents with children of any age. We will discuss practical, real-life ways to teach children how to handle/manage money and consistently practice Biblical stewardship. We will discuss curriculum, but more importantly, we will look at mentoring your children (from even a very young age) to become fiscally responsible young adults.
Collegiate Athletics 101: Helping My Student make the Team
This session will cover all the ABC's and 123's of college sports: NAIA, NJCAA, and NCAA Divisions 1, 2, and 3. Kathy will discuss eligibility requirements, regulations, and scholarship. This workshop will be most beneficial for parents of 8th - 11th graders considering athletics as part of their student's future collegiate experience.

Kathy Cumbie graduated from The University of Missouri - Columbia with a degree in Secondary Education, Math, in 1987 and at that point began a five-year teaching stint at Fort Zumwalt North High School. Stepping out of the public school arena when her oldest child was one, Kathy loved being a stay-home mom and eagerly awaited the days her family would begin home education. Her three children are now 22, 18, and 15 and have been homeschooled "the whole way through". Kathy also has enjoyed tutoring, as well as teaching classes in personal finance, ACT preparation, and high school math at such venues as the St. Charles County Home Educators Learning Center and Liberty Classical Academy. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys scrapbooking, playing the flute, running, and being outside.

My hope is that this list will assist conference organizers in connecting with Kathy Cumbie and other workshop leaders and speakers. Furthermore, my desire is to help homeschool workshop leaders and speakers develop relationships with more convention planners and audiences. May your efforts be for the glory of Christ and the strengthening of His saints. Disclaimer:
