Social Skills: Why Interacting Can Be a Challenge
Interacting with peers and adults is more complex than simply saying “HI”. Learn what underlying skills are necessary to successfully interact at various stages of development, as well as strategies to enhance your child’s ability to socialize appropriately.
Ask an OT
Do you have questions about handwriting skill development? Wonder what sensory strategies you can use to help your child better sit and attend? Do you have concerns about gross or fine motor skills? An occupational therapist will be available for this session to answer any questions about your child’s “occupation”, which includes: sitting/attending, following directions, completing self-help tasks (eating, bathing, dressing), fine motor/gross motor skills, handwriting, oral motor/feeding skills, emotional regulation, and social skills. This session will allow you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have in these areas.
