Plan to join us this January 17 through 19 (2013) for Mid-Winter Conference for Home Educators featuring very special keynote, Dr. David Aikman. David Aikman spent 23 years of his career as a journalist and bureau chief around the world with TIME Magazine. Dr. Aikman has interviewed most of the world leaders of our generation. He serves currently as writer in residence and history professor at Patrick Henry College in Virginia. Joining Dr. Aikman as keynotes are Diana Waring and Monte and Karey Swan. Featured speakers include Melinda Boring and James Muffett. Mid-Winter provides a retreat-like atmosphere in a conference designed for home educating parents. We feature keynote addresses for our entire event - no break out workshops - so parents have time to relax, listen, learn and be encouraged together. Thursday morning "A Taste of Mid-Winter Conference at the Home School Building" begins at 10 am. Be our guest for this exciting new opening day. James Muffett presents our opening address at 10 am, New Home Schoolers Information sessions (11 am for high school, 1 and 3 pm for K - 12), exciting Information Fair, Special event coupons for shopping at the HSB Bookstore, and 2 keynote sessions starting at 7 pm - Monte and Karey Swan and Diana Waring.
