We are trying a new concept this year. Instead of a 1-day conference, our event this year will involve a series of salon-type gatherings, culminating in a potluck/social event. We wanted to create a space for active exploration and participation in the frequently-asked question “What is unschooling anyway?” We view these salons as an opportunity to explore the "how-to" for unschooling. Hopefully, you will leave this experience with a better, fuller understanding of how to create and nurture a learning network for your family community.
Space in The Unschooling Conference: Salon Gatherings is limited to 40 registrants. Any registrant whose form is received after 40 registrations have been received be contacted and given the option to be kept on a waiting list, or have their application and funds returned.
Attendees must commit to attending all the sessions. Unlike a traditional conference, no registration for individual sessions will be permitted. Part of the idea behind our the Salon Gatherings is to create a safe space in which to discuss these issues. That continuity cannot be maintained if attendees only attend some of the sessions. So, please, do not register if you cannot attend all the sessions.
