A Curriculum for Unschoolers?
Every private school is required to have a course of study or curriculum. Many unschoolers just print one off the CDE web site for the appropriate grade level without ever looking at it, plop it in our school files and consider that our school’s copy. In this session, we’ll take a look at what a curriculum might look like if we took ownership of it and created it ourselves. We will consider the branches of study listed in California Education Code, the educational lingo covered in the state’s scope and sequence along with real life goals and reasonable expectations, all from an unschooler’s perspective.
